So I was suggested to try to become a state farm insurance agent and open up my own insurance office in the future. I understand that there are 2 initial tests (a questionnaire and assessment) before you can even start to become one. How difficult are these 2 tests to pass? If you fail, you must wait 12 months before you can take it again, which is a long time. And if you pass all of the tests, do the business proposal presentation, interview, and get offered the 9 month full-time internship, how much is the salary of that internship? Is it hourly pay? After that, is the process to take over or open up your own agency a difficult task? What are agency owners (aka independent contractors of State Farm) salary like once they take on a business? Ive read that people do end up making up to $100,000 as an owner, but is that after many years as a business? I do have a 4-year-degree from a university, and currently have a full-time job at the moment, but this job is only temporary. Thanks. Personal experiences would be helpful.

Insurance says case is closed, is it really?

A little over a year ago, I was in a car wreck and due to financial responsibility laws I had to pay for the accident. (I had no insurance, of course, I've learned this lesson) Recently they've filed suit against me for more money that they didn't receive from the insurance company. I can't afford an attorney and was about to hire a bankruptcy lawyer for all of this, but I recently found out from the insurance company that the case is closed. It's also been over a year as of a couple days ago and due to Tennessee's Statute of Limitations they can't claim any more money. So my question, the insurance company says it's closed and even said the attorney settling with them has closed the case. I call the opposing attorney myself and of course they say they can't discuss the case with me, even though I'm just asking if the case still actually exists. They wont' give me a court date either so naturally, I'm a bit suspicious. Should I be ready to put this behind me, or do law offices do this sort of thing all the time? They were recently paid out $10,000 from the insurance company I'm making payments to. I really don't see where else they could find money given my situation. All answers are appreciated, thank you!

Hi everybody, I have a quick question. My friend sometimes gives me a car. His car is insured and registered. But I don't have a car and don't have a car insurance obviously. Another thing is that he was my roommate and my drivers license are registered for the same address as his dl. Right now I live in another place. I have heard that if your drivers licenses are registered for the same address it might be a problem. So my questions are: - Is that ok for me to drive his car? - And should I change my drivers licens address ? or this is not true about this rumor?

Hey guys I've been saving up for a while and have come to a conclusion of what i want for my first car 2006 Porsche cayman s iam16 at the moment and am making just a smudge under $900 a month and from my calculations i should have enough money by the time I am 20-21 so i was wondering how much my insurance would cost. I have my g1 and am getting my g2 in November and will be a occasional driver and would be driving my brothers car an Acura rl and would be getting a cayman as soon as i have enough money.
